Equipment cost is very high. Special instruments, drills and materials have to be used.

The Use of disposable single-use material is high.

The Implants themselves and their components are expensive.

Every implant is made of very high grade titanium to precise standards.

Cheaper implants are available both in UK and abroad & there are 100’s of different manufacturers, however we only use products with a proven track record.

Postgraduate training is required if a dental surgeon is to offer implants.

Unfortunately dental indemnity / insurance companies charge dentists undertaking implant treatments extremely high premiums for their mandatory cover. Implant dentists must have additional indemnity cover in order to practise implant dentistry and this comes at a very high price.

There is no specialist list for dental implantology, however appropriate post graduate training should be mandatory before a dental surgeon should consider becoming involved in implant surgery.
